Went for the Onam Saadya! Had a sumptuous Mallu lunch in a pristine environment. Friendly host and warm service by all the staff. Neat and tide place. Have heard a lot about their Akki Rottis, will try them out soon!

Sabudana vada + chai at Anju's cafe at Rangashankara = Bliss :)
Since the cafe is inside the theater premises, most people discover it only when they are visiting for a play. Same applies to me. I visited Ranga Shankara yesterday for a play and tried this place due to convenience. We ordered Sabudana Vada, Vada Pav, Sabudana Khichdi, Appam with veg stew, Jaljeera, buttermilk and tea.
The food was simple, not oily, spices were perfectly balanced. The sabudana vada were beautifully crunchy and went well with the mint chutney. Vada Pav seemed authentically Mumbai-like. Sabudana Khichdi was brilliant as well. But appam was the stand out. It was freshly prepared and was served hot. It was soft with the perfect texture and served with coconut based veg stew that gave it "made in heaven" company. The jaljeera and buttermilk was decent but the tea is recommended. Not many people will agree but making a good cuppa is an art and these guys know it.
The biggest surprise was the bill at the end of this elaborate order, which was just short of 500 rupees. It is ridiculously low priced for the flavor and variety on offer. The staff is friendly and courteous.
Next time I will visit this place for food alone and not if there is a play. Can't give any better praise. I will be surprised if more people dont do it already.
NOTE: They have non-veg options as well but I was already full so didnt try anything. They have sandwiches, pasta etc as well but we stuck to few Indian preparations and were truly surprised.
